Heat Fastpitch Academy’s home facility is located in Newton, KS, just N. of the Wichita metro area. We also have teams based in Salina, Hutchinson, and Derby, and we’re continuing to expand. Unlike large organizations where you simply “buy the name,” our owners work directly with every player and coach, ensuring all of our teams receive the same high-level development and support. If you’re a coach or team looking to join a proven, family-focused program, we’d love to talk with you. Welcome to Heat Fastpitch Academy

Where Fundamentals Meet Family and Futures are Built

For over 17 years, Heat Fastpitch Academy has been dedicated to developing great athletes, strong young women, and future leaders. We proudly field 10U–18U teams in Newton, Salina, Derby, and Hutchinson, offering A/B/C level teams so every player—whether brand-new to competitive softball or ready for the national stage—has a place to grow. We promote from within our Heat Family, moving players up as their skills and confidence develop.

At Heat FPA, we believe great softball starts with fundamentals, hard work, and a love for the game. All of our teams are competitive and travel, with schedules designed to challenge players while keeping the focus on learning and improving. Our College Showcase Teams (14U–18U) attend select out-of-state tournaments, face college teams, and participate in premier showcases—but we do more than just get our athletes in front of coaches.

Our proven recruiting program, free to all Heat players, has delivered a 100% placement rate for athletes who pursued college softball over the last six years, with more than 100 athletes earning scholarships at NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, NWAC, and JUCO programs. Currently we have 7 former players playing in the NCAA with 1 more going next fall into NCAA DI school. We guide players and parents through every step, from building recruiting profiles to learning how to interact with coaches—because preparation off the field is just as important as performance on it.

The Heat coaching staff includes three current college coaches, former collegiate athletes, and current college players who bring first-hand experience and mentorship to our athletes. Our year-round indoor training facility features hitting and pitching lanes, with in-house instructors available for specialized work. We also provide fundraising and sponsorship opportunities that can significantly reduce or even eliminate player fees, ensuring finances aren’t a barrier to opportunity.

While we train to win, we never believe in winning at all costs. We focus on building mentally tough, coachable, recruitable student-athletes who carry life skills far beyond the diamond. Academics come first—our players are students before they are athletes—and we are proud to have produced scholarship athletes who have gone on to earn their degrees.

Contact: Anthony at 316-727-1622 to setup a workout with a team. We want you to meet the players, coaches, and the owners before you decide to play for a Heat team. We want to make sure it is a great fit for everyone. 

 

G2 Heat 18 VanZant Showcase team

Is currently looking for a Strong Pitcher who is looking to get mound time at College Showcase Tournaments and in front of college teams around the country.  This team will have a significant travel schedule. 
 

Heat 18B Lawler - Is looking for a Pitcher, Catcher, or outfielder. Will attend some
           College Showcase tournaments. Mostly local tournaments with some

           regional travel. 

Heat 16 Flores - Pitcher, Utility, or Outfielder looking to play colleges in the fall and

           college showcases during the season. Local and regional travel

 

16 Kvasnicka (Salina Team) Stong utility player or Pitcher, This team will be         

            playing against colleges in the fall and college showcase tournaments all

            season. Local and regional travel. 

 

16C/B Willis (Derby Team) Strong Pitcher & Catcher. This team will play local and a

            couple regional travel tournaments. This team played in a college

            showcase tournament this fall. 

 

14C Smith (Hutchinson Team) Pitcher - Local tournaments.
